Street trees
There are many large tree trees in Mexico. Therefore, even if I walk on the sidewalk, I often don't notice what kind of tree it is unless I look up. The other day, there was a tree with unfamiliar flowers hanging down, so I looked up and found a banana. This is the first time I saw a tree bears banana! I also found avocado. I don't have a photo, but I've also seen people harvesting what seems to be papaya.
It was quite a new scenery that I could not see in Japan.

Asian Cuisine
Mexican food is delicious and that supports my life in Mexico. There are many Japanese restaurants in Mexico City, which also support the life in Mexico. Still, I often miss other Asian foods such as Korean, Chinese and Thai. But don't worry. Asian cuisine such as Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, or Indian can be enjoyed in Mexico City.
The picture shows Galanga Thai Kitchen which is Thai food and Pho King which is Vietnamese food.
At Galanga Thai Kitchen, I found Khao Soi in the menu, which I rarely see in Bangkok, and ordered it.
Pho King has spring rolls and rice dishes such as com dia in addition to pho.

Population
Looking at the number of people infected with coronavirus, I suddenly worried about the population and checked it. According to 2019 data, Mexico has a population of 127.576 million making it the 10th largest in the world. Japan has 126.86 million people and seems to be the 11th largest in the world. Until the previous year, Japan was 10th and Mexico was 11th. The population pyramid in Mexico looks like a expanding, and the population is still increasing. The land area of Mexico is 1.96 million ㎢, which is about 5 times that of Japan. The population density in Japan is high.

Beard
Since I started living in Mexico, I often eat bread. Breads are generally sold without package at bakeries and are often put in paper bags when purchased. In other words, since it is not in a plastic bag, it dries immediately. So, I always bought as much as I could eat in a day or two days, but due to the epidemic of the new coronavirus, major bakeries started to package bread individually. This is a great help!! Although it is against plastic-free, To keep "Cuédate en Casa" needs a storage method of food that lasts a long time.

tacos al pastor
I wanted to eat Pastor suddenly. It is one of the tacos that originated in Arab culture, and is a taco made with spit-grilled pork shaved off. As my research, it was brought by an immigrant from Lebanon. On the tacos, there are spiced meat, pineapple and salsa, you can taste spicy, salty, and sweet tastes all at once.
In Mexico City, in-dining was allowed on July 1, but I think that the number of customers has not returned yet.
Today, I bought it at a taco shop near my home. Stuffs sterilized their hands in each process, from the cooking to the receiving, and I can see that they are paying maximum attention to hygiene.

Shopping bag
The shopping bag you often see in Mexico, is known as Bolsa de mercado. It is made of plastic, and the colorful pattern is cute. Not long ago, apparel brand ZARA sold a bag with a design similar to this shopping bag and was criticized. I feel that many Mexicans have pride and love for their own culture, so I thought it was a very sensitive reaction.
This bag has various sizes and designs, so it's perfect as a souvenir. If you can travel with healthy someday, don't miss it.

Squash-Kabocha
Squash that I often see in Japan, and called Kabocha. I rarely see it in Mexico, but I found it at a supermarket the other day. When I think about it carefully, I remember that I saw squashes from Mexico in Japan. I thought "what?" and looked it up.
The origin of squash is the Americas. Mexico was one of the world's leading producers of squash. In Mexico, zucchini, a well-known vegetable, also belongs to squash.
According to the 2018 trade statistics, 42% of squash imported by Japan is from Mexico. However, squash exported to Japan is cultivated almost exclusively for export. So I wonder if there are few opportunities to see it in Mexico. It's a shame.

Snacks
Oaxaca has decided to ban the sale of high-calorie snacks and soft drinks with high sugar content to children. Obesity and diabetes have become issues in Mexico, and Oaxaca's measures have been decided to prevent obesity from an early age.
When I was a child, I was looking forward to buying sweets with pocket money, so I'm a little worried that the range of fun for children would be narrowed.
(I'm happy that I'm not a child.)

Pocari Sweat
Do you know Pocari Sweat?
That is a famous Japanese sports drink, manufactured by Otsuka Pharmaceutical.
https://www.facebook.com/PocariSweatMexico/
Since my childhood, Pocari Sweat has been taking care of me when I was feeling sick and had a cold or in hot summer vacation. Now, it is available in Mexico!!
Pocari Sweat has been manufactured and sold in Mexico since 2019. I had heard about it, but I couldn't find it at a supermarket, I was told about the delivery service.
Currently, it is free shipping at a special price commemorating the its sales.
1 box (500ml PET bottle X 24) are 480 pesos!
It's cheaper than Japan.
You can buy it here.
https://www.pocarisweat.com.mx/store/
The taste is the same as "Pocari Sweat" in Japan.
Under the Mexican dried air, Pocari sweat helps to get sugar and ions along with water.

New normal
The number of people in the town is increasing in Mexico City. Although limited, shopping centers, movie theaters, and museums have resumed operations. The administrative office of the ward is also open by reservation. Since it starts a reservation system, I can not proceed immediately, but since I can read the time, I feel that efficiency has improved.
Screening by temperature and disinfection gel are already common.

Venice International Film Festival
The Venice International Film Festival will be held as scheduled. In the competition for the Golden Lion Award, which is the highest award, in addition to Japanese director Kiyoshi Kurosawa, there is also the name of director Michel Franco from Mexico. Many of Franco's films have been nominated and won some awards at numerous international film festivals.
Now, I am looking forward to the results.
Of the past works, about three DVDs are on sale in Japan. One film (only Spanish audio) is available in Amazon Prime Video in Mexico. That should be an activity in this weekend.

QR code
It's been two months since restaurants in Mexico City was resume their diner-in services. The QR code has become familiar at restaurants. Distribution of menus is prohibited in Mexico City due to hygiene measures. QR code appeared there. You can open the menu by reading the QR code at the wall or putting it on the table, with your own mobile phone.
In the case of iPhone, you can read it by holding up a normal camera, but I am an Android user. So l could not find how to do it. After all, the staff helped to show me the menu displayed on her mobile phones. Android says that you can read by launching the google lens!! Long pressing the home button will launch the Google Assistant. Select the lens from the menu icon. You should be able to read this. There is no doubt that l can order smartly from the next time.

Piñata 2020
A piñata that is indispensable for parties such as birthdays and posadas where children gather. It's like a ball and you can stuff sweets inside and hang it. It is a game where you can crush this with a stick and get falling sweets. Around 256 Interior Melchor Ocampo, there are about 2 shops selling this piñata.
I found the coronavirus there. It is a design unique to this year. I feel they are cute, but let the children get rid of them!!

Virtual Party
Five months have passed since we started working from home. While that time, we have no opportunity to meet all the members of Mexico office. So we had an online party.
I was so happy to see the faces of the members. I hope we can meet in real way soon.

Atmosphere of the festival
September is the season of Independence Day. The festive colors are gradually coming out in September. A car running with a national flag. Convenience stores are also decorated with red, green and white. I often see the signboard of Chile en Nogada. Just a week ago, on September 1st, a lighting ceremony for the decoration of Zocalo was held in Mexico City .
Economic activities in Centro Historico are gradually expanding, but it seems difficult to get together in Zocalo.
I am looking forward to what kind of Independence Day this year will be.

Orejas
One of the typical sweets in Mexico is "Orejas". This is just like the "Genji pie" that Japanese are familiar with. Genji pie is a heart-shaped pie released by SANRITSU CONFECTIONERY CO., LTD (Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka) in 1965. In Japan it is "heart-shaped", but in Mexico it is called "ear". It looks and tastes exactly the same as Japanese one, but I feel that Mexico is less sweet.
The photo is small and is called "Orejitas".
At bakeries, Oreja, which is larger than the palm of hands, is on sale. I like Oreja, which is a low-sweetness pie with chocolate.

Eco friendly
From this year, the distribution of plastic bags has been banned in Mexico City, even if it is charged. Reusable bag is indispensable. However, since the materials that return to the soil are excluded, I often get a bag like the one in the photo.
In these days, I felt a little guilty because I had more opportunities to use disposable plastic containers for food delivery and take-away due to COVID-19.
One day, I saw a person coming out of a bakery with bread in a reusable container. Many bakeries use paper bags, but paper is also a resource. Reusable containers save paper and prevent drying. that is killing two birds with one stone. I tried shopping with my own container. They responded very normally, and I felt that the amount was larger than usual.
Why don't you bring your own container as well as your own bag when you take away food or meal?

Independence day
Yesterday, 16th, was Mexico's Independence Day. Fireworks were launched in Zocalo from 23:00 on the 15th, and it is lively and crowded every year, but this year, Zocalo was with no spectators.
I celebrated Independence Day while watching the online stream at home. The area around my house wasn't too noisy, so maybe many people refrained from parties.

Food Labeling
New food labeling rules will enacted next month. Changed labeling specifications to identify the content of nutrients that may be harmful to health due to overdose of sugars, saturated fatty acids, trans fatty acids, sodium, calories, etc., and to call attention to health effects. At last, I found it the other day!!
This instant noodle has been contained excessive of calories, saturated fat and sodium.
I didn't notice it at all when I bought it, but when it's written like this, I may be going to hesitate to buy such things.

Electric vehicle
While growing interest in electric vehicles with the announcement of a reduction in import tariffs on new electric vehicles, the electric metrobus was unveiled today, which runs in Mexico City. It will run on Linea 3 from tomorrow. And it is said that it will increase to 10 units by the end of the year.
The neighboring state of California in the United States has announced that it will require new vehicle sales to be zero-emission vehicles by 2023.
In the era of the new normal, car = gasoline may not be common sense

Thinking out how to prevent
Cashless payments are becoming more common, but credit or debit card payments require you to press your PIN. Some stores disinfect each time you touch the machine, but the current situation is that they can't handle it that much. Meanwhile, I found the store that using cotton swabs. A cotton swab was placed next to the credit card reader so that it would not be touched directly. That's useful.

Outdoor seat
The introduction of outdoor seats at restaurants has become a hot topic in Japan, the number of outdoor seats has increased in Mexico as well. Originally, Mexico has many outdoor seats, but as the capacity of eating and drinking spaces is limited due to measures against coronavirus infection, more restaurants and cafeterias are setting outdoor seats. And I found such seats. Bears also keep "Sana Distancia".

Masks
Masks have become a part of life. In Mexico City, it is required to wear a mask in public places, so I cannot go out without a mask.
Fashionable masks are sold in Japan, but masks of various designs are also available in Mexico. I don't have a photo, but I also found a hand-knitted mask!! I doubt the effect as a mask, but I want to wear fashionable masks.

Sr. Mario Molina
Mr. Mario Molina, the first and presently only Mexican to win the Nobel Prize in the natural sciences, passed away yesterday, October 7.
Molina won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for pointing out the danger of ozone depletion by chlorofluorocarbons in 1995. This week is exactly the week when the Nobel Prize is announced. I just pray for souls in this obituary.

Gas Oven
I think that Mexican gas stoves often have an oven. The stove at my home also has a gas oven. I had never used a gas oven before, and I didn't know how to turn on it, so I didn't use it. However, I wanted to use it, and I researched how to use it, I found that it was necessary to light it with a match or grill lighter. Immediately, I tried it, it caught fire.
Only simple dishes such as foil grilling, but the range of dishes has expanded.
And now I'm addicted to roasted sweet potatoes. Wash the sweet potatoes and put them in a low temperature oven for 20 to 30 minutes. You can make delicious roasted sweet potatoes.

International Friendly Match
Personally, I love watching soccer games. Soccer is a popular sport in Mexico as well. An international friendly match between Japan and Mexico will be held on November 17th. I can't wait another month. Mexico has consistently played in the FIFA World Cup. I want to support both.

CURP and RFC
In Mexico there is something like a resident number called CURP. It consists of 18 alphanumeric characters. At the same time, there is also a tax number called RFC. This is 13 alphanumeric characters. In both cases, the number part is the birthday, so the age is revealed.
CURP and RFC are very similar, and it seems that the first 10 digits are often the same alphanumeric characters.
In my case, the first four letters of CURP and the first four letters of RFC are different, and it is made mistakes during the procedures. Even though I don't feel good because my age has been revealed, I have to take a close look to make sure there are no typos, so I'm nervous when telling my ID.
#Quédateencasa

Loyalty programs
When I was in Japan, I had a lot of loyalty cards. In the case of shops that I often use, I was able to get a great deal and it was useful, but it seems that this "point card" loyalty program is not common in Mexico. A common service is to use a credit card issued by a department stores or supermarkets to pay at the store and receive a discount. However, I don't use it because I can't make so many credit cards.
At chain coffee shops, you can earn points by purchasing with prepaid cards or apps.
I started using a coffee chain app earlier this year, the other day I got ranked up and got a coupon.
I hope I can make a point card at the supermarket.
#Quédateencasa

Agua de Jamaica
My favorite drinks in Mexico are Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus tea). You can find it in most restaurants, but when you drink it at the restaurant, it is sweet because sugar is added. So I often drink at home. Dried Jamaica is reasonably priced and easily available at the supermarket. I'm a rough personality, so just put a pinch of hibiscus in a cup and pour hot water. I have been working from home with Agua de Jamaica.
Hibiscus tea is rich in malic acid, citric acid, anthocyanins, polyphenols, potassium and so on. Potassium is effective in improving swelling, so it is more and more suitable for working from home.

Dia de Muertos 2020
It's the ”Día de Muertos" soon. "Día de Muertos" is a fairly important of the Mexican event. On that day, a large parade was held every year in Mexico City.
Also, I think that many Mexican are gathering together with their families to celebrate this day, but unfortunately this year is "Qué date en Casa".
On October 26th, Mexico City has announced that it will close its graveyard on November 1-2. Instead, an event like this is planned.

Medical situation

I don't get sick that much, and I rarely go to hospitals, but now that I have to fight an invisible virus, I'm worried about the medical situation in Mexico these days. The medical level is said to be at a certain level. There are public hospitals in Mexico, and people with social insurance can get medical services free of charge, and hospitals known for cancer treatment are also public. However, it is not very well received because it gives priority to urgent patients for medical examinations, resulting in long waiting times or shortage of medicines. Therefore, Mexicans who can afford to live and most Japanese go to a private hospital. There are few medical institutions that provide foreign language services, and you have to be prepared for Spanish, but there are also Japanese or Japanese-Mexican doctors who can provides medical treatment in Japanese. There are hospitals that you can receive medical treatment in Japanese, or you may be able to get Japanese language support.
Details in Japanese are available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

Medical markets

While I research hospitals in Mexico, I thought that Mexico should have potential as a market and I found that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan released an interesting material. According to this document, the Mexican medical device market has been a solid growth market since 2012 and is expected to grow after 2020.
(All information is in Japanese)
countryreport_Mexico.pdf
In addition, Mexico is becoming important as a medical device manufacturing base.
This is a JETRO document. (in Japanese)
https://www.jetro.go.jp/…/areare…/2020/200b39a4a73f1ff9.html
Mexico has a strong impression as the automobile and relevant industry, but it is also attractive as a medical device manufacturing base and its sales market.

Women's empowerment Medical
The birth of the first female vice president in the United States attracts attention around the world, as well as Mexico. It was featured in yesterday's newspaper.
In Mexico, Olga Sanchez Cordero was the first woman to become Minister of home affairs in 2018 and seems to have attracted attention.
Although it is still necessary to improve the overall social status of women, I have the impression that there are many working women and many women in managerial positions in Mexico.
Two out of 21 Japanese cabinets are women. On the other hand, 6 out of 20 ministers, including the President of Mexico, are women. Even in this comparison, I have the impression that women in Mexico are advancing into society.

World heritage 2
Mexico has many World Heritages, but traditional Mexican food is also registered as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is well known that Japanese food is registered as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage, but traditional Mexican food is faster than Japanese food and was registered as a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010. It is a dish that strongly reflects the tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation since 7,000 years ago, and that uses a variety of agricultural products, based on corn, beans, and peppers, which cultivated by traditional farming methods that are in harmony with the environment. It is also a dish has great significance in terms of coexistence with the environment, connections with local communities, and the identity of one's own country, and a core role in life events such as birth and death, traditional rituals, ceremonies, etc.
Recipes in Japanese are available on the website of the Mexican Embassy in Japan. And this year is the 10th anniversary of registration. An event on Facebook Live is also planned next Monday, November 16th.

Football game
Today was the day of the international friendly match of football between Mexico and Japan. I completely forgot and couldn't see it in real time, but when I read the article on the match results, it says that Japan lost 0-2, but it seems that it was a very interesting match.
It's to be easily excited, but the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in North America. Mexico will also be the venue for the FIFA World Cup. By that time, it would be nice if we could enjoy watching at the stadium.

Exhibition "HIROSHIMA" @Leon
From November 13th, the Hiroshima Photo Exhibition is being held at Museo de Art e Historia Guanajuato in Leon, Guanajuato. Mr. Shinohara, a photographer, said that Hiroshima has a strong image of the atomic bomb, but there are many traditional Japanese historical streets, so he chose the photo to introduce such historical image.
It is held until February 2021.

OFURO
When I live abroad, I miss taking the bath. Especially in the colder season, I want to take a bath with plenty of hot water in the bathtub. In Mexico, there are few properties with bathtubs, and even if there are, there are concerns about whether enough hot water will come out or whether it can be used as a bath.
The apartment I live in has no bathtub. I really wanted to take a bath, so I stayed at a hotel with a large communal bath.
This is Roygent Parks Querétaro in Querétaro states which opened this year. Currently, as a countermeasure against coronavirus infection, the large communal bath can only be used by reservation for up to 3 people per hour. There was an open-air bath in addition to the communal bath that was too large, so I was able to relax very much.
Many of the staff speak Japanese, and I was able to eat Japanese food at the restaurant, so I forgot to be in Mexico during my stay.
It's still difficult situation to go out, but it could be an option that to stay in a hotel like that for a day.

COVID-19 situation
There are concerns about the spread of COVID-19 infections worldwide. In Mexico, the number of states with yellow of federal alert lights increased from 11 to 14 from this week, and the state of Chiapas also turned green, so I thought that it would show some calm. But the number of confirmed new infections yesterday and the day before yesterday were over 10,000. I was also surprised at the numbers of confirmed infections in Mexico City were 2,800 and 2,600.
From this week, the business hours of non-essential commercials have been shortened. It seems that it will take more time for the situation to improve.
Now that the city is getting alive with activities, I hope the federal and city’s alert lights don't turn red.

Onigiri
Now, Onigiri, rice balls, are available at convenience stores in Mexico city!! It started to sale in Mexico City in November.
It looks just like Japanese rice balls. Some of descriptions in its package are written in Japanese.
At this shop, there were two kinds of rice balls, salmon rice balls and yakiniku rice balls, but there are also tuna mayo and spicy tuna.
I bought salmon and tried it.
It was a salmon rice ball with a new taste of vinegared rice with spicy sauce and cheese. Unlike what it looks like, its taste is for Mexicans.
My favorite point is that the seaweed was crispy.
Next time I would like to try Tuna Mayo.
By the way, the catch phrase is "practical and delicious."

House-hunting 1
As the period of "Quédate en Casa" has become longer, the comfort of the house has become an important issue for me. Unlike Japanese homes, which use a lot of wood, Mexican houses are chilly and directly reflect changes in temperature. My room isn't sunny during the winter and it is so cold that I wanted to move.
I immediately took a look at one of lease apartments, and when I heard that the room was furnished but I found it wasn't furnished at that time. I asked broker "it isn't furnished!?", she answered "I can make it furnished."
Then, when I asked, "Please be furnished. The price is ...", the broker said, "Because it is furnished, it is impossible to reduce the price."
I changed from unfurnished to furnished, so I thought it would increase, but it didn't seem to be the case. After that, the price went up by about 1500 pesos at a request of owner, but after a little bit of negotiation, it returned to the original price.
Price reduction negotiations are a must for lease agreements in Mexico.

House-hunting 2
I think that each person has their own criteria for choosing a place to live, but I recommend that good sunlight should be chosen as an important criterion in Mexico City.
Due to the low humidity and dry air, few properties are equipped with air conditioning. In addition, there are many chilly days, and even in the summer it gets cold in the morning and evening, so daytime sunlight is an important heat source.
In addition, there are many properties with dim lighting in the room, so I recommend properties with large windows with good natural lighting.
It is important to have the sunny room in the daytime, as the sunny rooms in the early morning or in the evening may not be sunny depending on the season.
Also, on the lower floors, the roadside trees may interfere with the sun, so I try to find a room on the third floor or higher.
However, under these conditions, it is difficult to find the ideal room.

Fashionable best price goods
In Japan, there are many shops where you can buy cute miscellaneous goods at low prices, such as 100-yen shops.
I think the major place in Mexico where you can buy cute miscellaneous goods at a reasonable price is "Miniso". One reason is that there is a store near my home, but I also use it a lot.
On December 8th, a general store "Hema" from the Netherlands started store operations in Mexico. It seems that they started selling online a little earlier, and when I checked it, there was a wide selection of tableware, kitchen goods, stationery, baby clothes, children's clothes, toys, food, cosmetics, PC accessories, etc. I have enjoyed seeing them.
It was introduced in a newspaper as "a rival of Miniso", and it is a good match at a reasonable price range.
This "Hema" has not yet launched in Japan, so it may become a good souvenir.
Currently, there is a store at Mexico City International Airport Terminal 1, and Artz Pedregal store will open on 11th.
I would like to go, but both are far away and the number of infected people against covid is increasing, so I will enjoy it online at first.

Women's Empowerment
I thought that the empowerment of Mexican women has been progressing.
The Mexican ambassador to Japan is also a woman. The other day, an assembly of female ambassadors to Japan was held at the request of Mexican Ambassador Melba Pría.
In addition, female ambassadors to Japan are also participating in the mentor business, which provides advice and guidance to female executives of Japanese companies.
I was happy to hear that she is contribute to the empowerment of Japanese women.

Red light again
From December 19th, Mexico City has turned its light for the risk of coronavirus infection to RED. It is usually announced at a press conference on Friday and is applied from the following Monday, but this time it was applied from the next day. I felt tense situation. Currently, the red light period is until January 10. During this time, only the essential business is allowed, and restaurants can only provide delivery or take-out services. I took a walk around the neighborhood last weekend to try it out, and many shops were closed except for supermarkets, grocery stores, and restaurants. Tables and chairs in restaurants had been tidied up.
More and more cities and states, such as Queretaro, Guanajuato, Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta are tightening restrictions.
There is a culture "staying at home during the New Year holidays" called "Ne-shogatsu" in Japan, so this new year holidays, I will be careful about infection while doing "Ne-shogatsu".

Vaccine
A vaccine for coronavirus infection arrived in Mexico yesterday, and the vaccination started today.
In Mexico, the Pfizer and BioNTech coronavirus vaccines were approved on the 11th of this month, and it is said that the vaccination will be started by medical professionals and the general public in their 40s or younger after June next year.
I hope that I can spend time with the office members and clients next year.

New Year

I had my first New Year in Mexico. Since Christmas is the biggest event, I was wondering if there would be anything special for New Year's Eve, but in Mexico, it is customary to eat grapes for New Year's Eve. It is said that people eats 12 grapes with a wish accompanied with the 12 o'clock bell. On the 1st, I received a message of "Feliz Año Nuevo (Happy New Year)" from a Mexican friend, and I saw a person saying "Feliz Año Nuevo" for the past week.

Mexico and Hideyo Noguchi

Hideyo Noguchi, a great Japanese who has made great achievements in yellow fever research. He had a strong image of Africa, but he have been conducting yellow fever research in Mexico as well.
In 1919, when yellow fever raged on the Yucatan Peninsula, he stayed in Merida for three months to research, and he discovered the pathogen of yellow fever.
I was surprised at such unexpected connection between Mexico and a Japanese.

Second stage of plastic-free

From January 1, 2021, Mexico City began the second phase of the ban on the use of disposable plastics. This banned the use of disposable plastic cutlery, containers, their lids and so on. It is not included compostable plastics. However, I couldn't have found a paper container for a while, I found it yesterday at last.
In Mexico City, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, restaurants is more burdened with operation by taking-out and delivery services, as well as responding to changes in containers. I decided to carry the tapper in earnest.

Tamales

February 2nd reminds me Tamales.
Rosca de Reyes to eat on January 6th. It is said that happiness will come to those who have drawn the baby dolls inside it, but at the same time, such person customary has to treat Tamales to the members who shared Rosca de Reyes on February 2.
Tamales are made by kneading corn flour, lard, and soup stock, putting ingredients inside, and steaming. There are various ingredients such as meats, beans, chocolate and so on. It is a standard breakfast in Mexico, and many people eat it with bread in the morning.
Even in the evening, I often see people selling around the city. Today's my dinner should be Tamales.

Constitution Anniversary

February 5th is Mexican Constitution Anniversary. Currently, the first Monday of February is a holiday, but February 5th is set as an anniversary because current Mexican constitution was approved by the congress on February 5, 1917. Article 3 stipulates the obligation to educate, Article 27 stipulates the foundation of land reform, and Article 123 stipulates the protection of workers' rights, which is considered to have been an epoch-making constitution at that time. It is said to be the model for the Weimar Constitution in 1919.
This constitution has been amended many times and is still in effect today.
